Originally from England, Chef Katie worked in the hospitality and travel industries and served as a personal chef in several stately homes in England for the British Aristocracy. It is during this time she cooked extensively on an AGA. Kate spent many years at Burghley House, one of the largest and grandest houses of the first Elizabethan Age as well as several years at Wrotham Park just outside of London. Chef Katie has owned and cooked on an AGA for many years. The AGA is “my stove of choice above anything else”, and has said, “I have withdrawal symptoms when not able to cook on my AGA as once you experience the AGA WAY there is no going back”.
In addition to her time as a chef in England, Chef Katie has lived and worked in seven different countries, from running a bistro in Spain to quality control at top restaurants across the Globe. This experience has awarded Chef Katie an extensive repertoire of recipes and dishes collected and learned from her travels!
In addition to her role as an AGA Ambassador, Chef Katie is the owner of Come Dine with Me Personal Catering Service where she offers an array of services from formal sit-down dinners to in-home cooking classes. Now a resident of South Carolina, Chef Katie brings her love of fine dining and the culinary arts to every home kitchen.
